The latest offering from Mio, the Mitac Mio A701 , is one of the first GPS-enabled Windows Mobile-based smart phone . With the SirfStar III chipset incorporated the Mio A701 is capable of quick, reliable satellite fixes. Tri-Band GSM / GPRS phone functionality ensures that the Mio A701 can be used in most countries and for internet and e-mail access.
It runs the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system and offers quad-band GSM/GPRS connectivity as well as Bluetooth, with the Latest features ranging from Word, Excel. Powerpoint to Internet Explorer and now able to play MP3 with the Latest Window Media Player 10.
Based on the Intel PXA270 processor running at 520MHz the Mio A701 has a 2.7-inch screen, which is capable of displaying a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Persistent memory is catered for with total memory 192MB of memory which is split 128MB of ROM and 64MB RAM, along with a 1.3 Mega-pixel camera.
